On the 8th inst at Brentwood, Eccles Old Road, the wife of James P. HAWORTH,

of a son.

On the 7th inst at Beechfield, Poynton, Cheshire, the wife of G.C.

GREENWELL, Jun. of a son.

On the 5th inst. at Sale, the wife of Nathaniel BATTERSBY, of a son.

On the 3d inst at St. Margaret’s Church, Whalley Range, William PITT, eldest

son of the late Samuel BARROW, to Marion, second daughter of Thomas GRUNDY,

all of Manchester.

 

DIED

On the 9th inst at Mayfield, Sale, the residence of Thomas BIRD, her

brother-in-law, Fanny MONKHOUSE of the Bourne, near Maidenhead, Berkshire,

aged 64 years.

On the 8th of January, at Wilfield Terrace, Burnley, in her 35th year,

Sarah, the beloved wife of J.H. Whitaker.

On the 8th inst at his residence, 22, St. Michael’s Hill, Bristol, Samuel

Sharp BIRTILL, in his 82nd year.

On the 8th inst suddenly, at Chasewood, Didsbury, Sarah, the beloved wife of

Albert S. LEWIS, aged 32 years.

On the 8th inst at her brother’s, St. Margaret’s Terrace, Holyrood,

Prestwich, Mary Elizabeth AGARD, aged 25 years. No cards.

On Wednesday, 5th inst at his residence, Whithorn, M.B. Alexander CLANAHAN,

late of Liverpool, aged 65 years.

On the 4th inst, aged 49, at Beausite, Torquay, suddenly, the Rev. Charles

Edward RICKETTS ROBINSON, M.A. vicar of St. John’s Torquay, hon canon of

Rochester, son of the late Ven. Archdeacon ROBINSON, D.D. Master of the

Temple.

On New Year’s Day, at Alfred-street, Everton Road, Elizabeth, widow of the

late George STONE of Ardwick, in her 79th year. Friends kindly accept this

intimation.

assisted by the Rev. John EWING, Wilson CARTER, of Manchester, to Christina,

daughter of Robert EWING, Esq Fintalick, Perthshire.

On Saturday the 8th January, at the Greek Church, Higher Broughton, by the

Rev. Dr. B. Moros, great oeconomos, John A. NEGROPONTE, of Manchester, to

Emeralda, second daughter of T.P. PETROCOKINO, of Sedgley House, Prestwich

 

DIED

On the 18th inst at 16, Clarendon Road, after a lingering illness, William M

’NAUGHT, Esq engineer, of Manchester and Glasgow, aged 67 years. Friends

are requested to accept this intimation.
